Keep Left T-shirt

Regular price $60.00

KEEP LEFT

In a world that increasingly leans to the right, I wanted to create an image that gave strength to those who resist fascism in all its forms, regardless of how “uncomfortable" that makes others around them. So I reimagined an Australian Keep Left sign, adding a little socialism to the mix. $5 from every shirt goes to Plan International’s Gaza Relief Drive, directly aiding children affected by the ongoing genocide.

PROCESS

Printed with an intentionally thin layer of white paint on vintage soft Gildan Comfort Colour Tees, these retro tees feel like they've arrived worn-in from a gentler era. They'll continue to wear with each wash, improving the vintage look.

SIZING

Available in unisex S - XXL. These are the only sizes available to me, not a range of my choosing. For specific size details, see the 5th photo.

MATERIALS

These tees are made from 100% ring-spun 207GSM cotton with a yarn count of 22/1. They're also double needled around the collar, sleeves, armholes and bottom hem. Translation: they might feel worn in on arrival due to the soft-washed fabric, but they'll last a long time!

WASHING

These tees are pigment dyed, meaning loose pigments could remain on the surface. So wash them with similarly dark clothing or you'll run the risk of staining lighter clothing.

ETHICAL MANUFACTURING

I care a lot about sustainability. I designed the Ban The Bag campaign in Australia and co-created Future Landfill. Previously, I have only created clothing to raise money for causes, and I have resisted offers of collaboration to put my work on clothing at scale, knowing I couldn't control the wastage. I've done what I can to make these tees as ethically as possible.

  • Each t-shirt is made to order, eliminating any wastage.
  • I have foregone vanity tags, keeping the original Gildan tag on the collar, eliminating further manufacturing.
  • Each t-shirt is printed locally, and I collect each, packaging them in recycled and recyclable materials, ensuring no further plastic is manufactured for you to wear this tee.
  • Like all garment manufacturers, Gildan claim to have outstanding ethical manufacturing practices in place. You can read what they say here.
  • Good On You say Gildan are good at looking after people in their supply chain, but could improve their sustainability. You can read about that here. No manufacturer is 100% perfect, unfortunately.
