Ivy (Swinging Girl) was created in December 2022 and made its debut on the wall of an alley in Fitzroy, Australia. I had gone to the home of some good friends for dinner, and quickly snuck out to place the girl swinging from the Boston Ivy on their back fence. You can watch a video of its installation here. Since then, I have recut the work into a larger more detailed piece. The stunning image falls across a crisp white, finely textured paper, and measures 50 x 70cm. The gold ropes shimmer across the surface and catch the light differently at different times of day.
This four-colour signed and numbered painting is striking on a large white negative space. There will only ever be 30 of this image sprayed. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
It is hand-cut and hand-sprayed on gorgeous archival quality, acid-free, 300gsm paper. As such, each piece is unique, with its own individual (im)perfections. The medium grained textured paper approximately measures 50cm x 70cm. It is sold unframed and is shipped carefully rolled in a tube with full insurance and tracking.
