This wonderfully colourful piece is in fact a dark statement about the warped gun culture in the USA. Specifically, it was created as a direct response to the Uvalde school shooting, and was initially put up on the street in Fitzroy, Melbourne. You can watch a video of its creation and installation here.
There will only ever be 5 original sprays of this 11-layer stencil painting. It measures 50cm x 70cm. Each is hand-cut and hand-sprayed on acid-free, 340gsm hot pressed European watercolour paper, screen printed with Art Spectrum Colourfix Primer. This particular type of paper often has gentle rises across its landscape, but can be fixed flat when properly framed. This is not a screenprint. Each piece is an original work, with its own individual (im)perfections. It is sold unframed and is shipped rolled in a tube.
